Is Personal Protection Expensive? Part 6 of 7
Well; look at it this way: it depends on how safe you wish to make yourself. Some people do spend a fortune on personal protection, and they are no doubt safer because of it. Some people have turned their homes and places of business into veritable fortresses. Some people train constantly to react in the event of a life-threatening emergency. Doing so is very expensive. But very few people in the world need (or want, for that matter) that high a level of personal safety. For one thing; it can be very intrusive into your personal and professional life. Fortresses have a lot in common with prisons, and few people are willing to live in a self-imposed prison. People who travel with armed guards in armored vehicles and rarely leave their homes without a bulletproof vest and high-tech communications gear are a special breed. They exist, but they are rare indeed. This blog is not meant for people seeking that level of protection. This blog is meant for average people who understand that there are risks out there, and they want to tilt the odds in their favor. If you are reading this, then you are probably one of them. Welcome to the club! It does require some time, money, and effort, but it does not require a major investment. And whatever you do spend on personal safety will always be money well-spent. As they say, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
The folks at Called to be Safe want to help you keep yourself and your loved ones safe from the threats that are, unfortunately, part and parcel of life in this day and age.
